You could increase the clicks or user engagement by 500% or even 1,000% by simply choosing the right time to post content and engage users on some channels of popular social media platforms. However, user engagement varies drastically by channels (pages or groups) even on the same platform. We'll look at the user engagement distributions by percentage using data collected from 1,000 Facebook groups and 500 Linkedin groups over past month. In general Monday is the most active day of a week for both platforms, and Saturday is the slowest day.

For Facebook groups, the busiest Monday contributes 19% of activity of a week, and the slowest Saturday contributes 11%. For Linkedin groups, the busiest Monday contributes 19% of activity of a week, and the slowest Saturday contributes just 8%. Clearly, Linkedin groups show a stronger pattern than Facebbok groups.
